These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MyClassDocs. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use MyClassDocs
MyClassDocs is intended for K–12 classroom teachers and other educators who have a legitimate educational interest in the student information they enter. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Your data, your responsibility
You retain ownership of all classroom data you enter. You represent that you have the right to enter that data under your district's policies and applicable law. You agree not to enter information you are not authorized to process.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access another user's data
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malware, illegal content, or content that violates the privacy of others
- Resell access to the service without our written permission
5. Pricing
MyClassDocs is currently free to use during active development. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before introducing any paid plan, and existing data will remain accessible.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees. We may perform maintenance, update features, or change the product at any time.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
8. Disclaimers
MyClassDocs is a documentation tool, not a system of record for your district. You are responsible for ensuring that any data required by your district or by law is also recorded in your district's official system.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyClassDocs and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
